Candle Mugs!

I've made candles for myself for a year now and when I realized the mugs I sell with my hand drawn art on them could double as candle containers, I knew it was something I'd want to do! 

Of course this didn't mean I could start selling candles right away. It was one thing to make candles at home but if I was going to be responsible for products made for others, that meant I needed to know everything about candles. So that's what I did. 

I outsource organic soy wax, and found fragrances that are Phthalate Free and spent over a year making sure everything was right before even thinking about selling them. I looked fragrance loads for each scent for the right scent throw. I made sure each candle gave an even melt pool and didn't leave a side unmelted. I tested out wicks and which ones worked the best and finally I tested different wicks until I found ones I liked! At this point every sale I had made so far in my business had gone towards these candles and I wouldn't change a dime spent!

Making these is probably my favorite thing to make in my entire shop and I hope you will give them a try! When setting them up for sale I first wanted every scent with every mug but it soon showed to be hard to keep a stock of them so now each mug has 2-3 scents that pair well with its design. My next step would be to make candle refills so you can always reuse the mugs as decoration.
